Sakthi College of Arts and Science was started on 01.06.2009 by Dr. K. Vembannan, M.B.B.S.,M.S., the Managing Trustee of Sowdamman Charitable Trust with the founding Vision of “Empowering the rural womenfolk with quality higher education and mould them into globally competent individuals”. Since the college is only eleven years old, the alumni of the college is also very young. Yet it is strong and robust. The major focus of the Alumni is to support the college to achieve its mission.

To achieve this goal the Alumni has engaged in activities such as:

• Interaction with current students: The alumni arrange interactive sessions to the current students on career opportunities, life outside the state, etc. from time to time.
• Higher Education Guidance: Some of the alumni are studying in premier institutes and so they arrange guidance sessions to the students of the college to help them clear national level entrance tests and secure admission in such reputed institutes.

The contribution of alumni of the college for its present name and fame is noteworthy. The role of alumni of a college for its further development and for the benefit of its current students is highly significant. Keeping this in mind, the Alumni Association of Sakthi College has been functioning to bring all its alumni under its roof. We invite all alumni to join as the life members of the association. Let us join together and extend our service to our alma mater.
